THE CHALLENGE
Utilize the most advanced technologies available in Snap’s Lens Studio combined with the speed of Verizon’s 5G connectivity to first-of-its-kind user experience on Snapchat. Our team of programmers, 3D modelers, and designers immediately knew we wanted to use the platform to solve a problem that could potentially be used by multiple brands in a given industry.

By prioritizing realism over conventional entertainment and humor, the aim was to provide a solution that could be adopted by multiple brands within the retail industry — a Lens that felt genuine, offering a user experience that not only captivated but also served as a practical tool for stores to enhance engagement and interaction within the Snapchat platform.
THE SOLUTION
In response to the challenge, our team conceptualized and developed MagicMirror, a groundbreaking Snapchat Lens that introduces a layer of realism and utility to an app predominantly known for its face filters. The primary objective was to redefine the fitting room experience through an innovative AR-based solution, aiming to eliminate the need for customers to step out of the fitting room to try on various variants of a garment.
Addressing Limitations of Existing Technologies
Before the inception of MagicMirror, prevailing try-on technologies often fell short, providing users with unrealistic and uninspiring experiences characterized by cartoonish designs and overlays.
